| Question: | Why, after 50 years of preaching, are you still at it? |
| Answer: | Because there are two things a true minister of God doesn't do: he doesn't tell lies and he doesn't retire. |
| Question: | Why do you run large evangelistic campaigns, often in dangerous places? |
| Answer: | To save as many souls as possible, and that sometimes means going to places like India, Russia, Africa, the Solomon Islands, and soon, Papua New Guinea. |
| Question: | Some question your theology, and what grows out of it. Your critics believe that Pagans, Heathens and Unbelievers will be saved if they sincerely follow their beliefs, so why bother preaching to them? |
| Answer: | The idea that people are saved by obeying the light within them is Pagan to the core. The Bible teaches that salvation is only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Listen to this text: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12. This is talking about Christ who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! |
| Question: | Most churches today resemble cozy, comfortable clubs where the members do not want to be disturbed. Do you have a message for them? |
| Answer: | The Lord sent a message to His church through the prophet Zephaniah: "At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think, 'The Lord will do nothing, either good or bad.'" Zeph. 1:12 The Church is called to believe the pure Gospel of Christ and share it with the world around them. Those who settle down like wine on its dregs will suffer the judgment of God. That's what God's Word says. |
| Question: | Do you honestly believe that one person can make a difference in today's world where God's Word is ignored, His law despised, and where the Church is so apathetic? |
| Answer: | There is no limit to what God can do with and for that man or woman who is surrendered to the Lord and who lives to serve and obey Him. Think of Moses, Paul, Martin Luther, John Wesley, James and Ellen White, H.M.S. Richards, and others who made Christ the Lord of their lives. God can use you to save souls if you catch the vision and are willing. |
| Question: | You have proclaimed the Message of Christ in Australia, America, Africa, China, India, Russia, Ukraine, the Carribean, the Isles of the Sea, and even in Baghdad! What do you expect will happen when you go to Papua New Guinea? |
| Answer: | I expect that the Holy Spirit will lead tens of thousands of lost souls to Christ. I expect that more than 100,000 will attend nightly. I expect trials, tribulations, and triumphs. I expect that the whole nation will be shaken by the Word of the Lord. |
| Question: | Most people think you are funded by our great Church organization, when in fact you do not receive a dime from the General Conference or any other church entity. How can you conduct these great campaigns that touch so many for Christ, and result in thousands of baptisms? |
| Answer: | God's people, true and faithful, are our partners. God's sheep hear His voice and respond to the call to bring Christ to the lost. People write their checks and God honors their faith! |
| Question: | I hear you are also leaving shortly for Russia and Ukraine. What do you hope to accomplish? |
| Answer: | I hope to strengthen the churches we established, by God's grace, over there. I will also be seeing Dr. Julia Outkina in Nizhni Novgorod. We baptized her 20 years ago and today she is a powerful and persuasive voice for God in that needy mission field. She proclaims Christ on 160 television stations! |
| Question: | Do you ever dream of rest from all this work? |
| Answer: | There will be time to rest when Jesus comes. Better to wear out than rust out, I say. |
