An update from John Carter:

We are moving from Arcadia, a suburb of Los Angeles, to the small town of Moorpark, California.  Why?

1.     BECAUSE we want to use our limited resources for the greatest possible good.  Our business is preaching Christ and saving souls.

2.     BECAUSE it is now time for another ministry to use our building for evangelism. We have sold the building to a protestant Chinese church, and it intends to evangelize to the significant Chinese population of Arcadia, which includes the largely Asian student body of Arcadia High School, just across the street.

3.     BECAUSE our local Arcadia Church, which God raised up 24 years ago through the ministry of The Carter Report, will now have a greater opportunity to develop its own distinctive ministry.  This action could actually be a catalyst for growth.

4.     BECAUSE we believe NOW is the time for us to get out of the large cities.

5.     BECAUSE “just the right” building has become available to The Carter Report in a quiet area, for a fraction of its value.

6.     BECAUSE it is time to have less stress in our lives.  Beverley and I have driven more than 500,000 miles back and forth to our Carter Report Center, and other team members have done the same.  Now is the time to terminate the motoring marathon.

7.     BECAUSE God has told us to do so.  We do not need any other reason.

8.     BECAUSE our God has opened and closed doors to move us from Arcadia, Los Angeles County to Moorpark, Ventura County.

9.     BECAUSE change, although uncomfortable, is good.  Settling down in comfort and security is bad for spirituality.

10.  BECAUSE the hour is late, the world is coming to a fiery end, and now is not the time to play church.  Comfortable institutionalized religion is a deception and will not suffice in this tremendous hour.  We need a blood-red Gospel that storms Satan’s strongholds to set the captives free.
